Victoria “Tori” Vincent, 57, passed away peacefully at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo on May 24, 2026.
Born on April 24, 1969, in Tennessee, Tori was the daughter of David and Victoria Gilkey Vincent. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents.
Tori is survived by her sister, Carroll Vincent of Sarasota, Florida; her dearest friend, Sally Hester; and Roman Hester, Sally’s son, whom Tori loved as her own grandson. Roman affectionately called her “Duwah,” a name that reflected the special bond they shared. Sally and Roman became Tori’s adopted family, surrounding her life with love, laughter, and companionship.
Tori was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for others. She enjoyed reading, taking walks, caring for her beloved cats, and especially spending time with Roman and his friends. To many, she became the “community grandmother,” always offering warmth, encouragement, and love to those around her.
As a young woman, Tori had a passion for horseback riding and ice skating, activities she greatly enjoyed until a spinal cord injury in adulthood left her disabled. Despite life’s challenges, she remained resilient and continued to bring joy and compassion to others. She was last employed as a data entry clerk with the VA.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Sanctuary Hospice at https://www.sanctuaryhospicehouse.com/ in memory of Victoria.
