Theresa Fay Najdowski-Barker

Theresa Fay Najdowski-Barker, 59, a cherished resident of Tupelo, passed away on August 23, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones at North Mississippi Medical Center. Born on January 14, 1964, in Illinois, Theresa was the beloved daughter of Coy Lee Barker and Priscilla Smith Barker.

Theresa's legacy lives on through the lives she touched, and she is survived by her father, her adoring daughter Kathleen Ann Cortopassi (Ryan), her loving son Vince Gattuso (Heather), her devoted sisters Cynthia Simpson (Robert), Gina Phillips, and Christina Anderson (Steve), and her precious grandchildren Shyanne Rigsby, Shauna Rigsby, and Nick Gattuso. She also leaves behind her steadfast companion Joe Torress, her former husband Neal Najdowski, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Theresa found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had an artistic spirit and reveled in the beauty of coloring, painting, and crafting. Her creativity knew no bounds. Music and dance held a special place in her heart, and through them, she expressed herself in ways words could not capture.

Above all, Theresa was a beacon of love and warmth for her family. Her children and grandchildren were her treasures, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her love for her family was boundless, and she never missed an opportunity to express her affection with the simple yet profound words, "I love you." Her heart was as beautiful as the love she shared, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched.

As we bid farewell to Theresa Fay Najdowski-Barker, let us remember the vibrant soul she was and carry forward the love, kindness, and creativity she bestowed upon us. In the tapestry of life, she wove threads of love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who were privileged to know her.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Theresa's life. Associated Family Funeral Home is honored to have been chosen to serve the Najdowski-Barker family in their time of need.
