Terry Gene Smock, 71, of Tupelo, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his home on March 28, 2026.
Born on January 31, 1955, in Indiana, Terry was the son of the late William and Emma Smith Smock. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later built a career as a skilled and dedicated mechanic before retiring.
Terry was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and tending to his garden. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for his family, and his appreciation for nature.
He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Smock of Memphis, Tennessee, Terri Lynn Hayes of Memphis, Tennessee, and Kayleigh Plunkett of Indiana; his son, Jackson Lee Smock of Indiana; his sister, Pam Bryant of Olive Branch, Mississippi; his brother, Billy Smock (Starlet) of Texas; and his nine beloved grandchildren, Timothy Ayers III, Paislee Smock, Daulton Douglas, Delani Douglas, Jaylee Smock, Easton Smock, Bryar Plunkett, Bristal Plunkett, and Brenlee Plunkett.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
No services are planned at this time.
