Terry Allen Bowen

Terry Bowen, age 71, of Smithville, passed away peacefully at his home on June 27, 2025. Born on March 31, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, Terry was the son of the late Thomas and Nola Buffington Bowen.

Terry spent much of his life with a wrench in hand and a heart full of passion for all things automotive. A mechanic by trade, he was known for his skill and dedication until his health no longer allowed him to work. His love for antique cars, drag racing, and simply being under the hood defined not just his career, but his greatest joys.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeannie Dennis Bowen; his sisters, Delores Bowen and Deborah Morgan; and his brothers, Daniel Bowen and John Bowen. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, whom he held dear throughout his life.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor Terry's memory.
