Rosie (Alma) Mae (Outlaw) Dancer

On Tuesday, August 22, 2023, Rosie (Alma) Mae Outlaw Dancer , loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother passed away at the age of 96 at her home inTupelo, MS.

Rosie was born May 20, 1927 in Starkville, MS to the late Ellis Outlaw and Gussie Malone Outlaw. Rosie was united in marriage to the late N.F. Dancer for 54 years. Rosie was a homemaker and was baptized as one of Jehova's Witness in 1962 and remained a faithful member until her death. She and her late husband were volunteers for the R.B.C.. She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Jodie Outlaw (Liz), Ann Skipwith (Burt), Leroy Dancer (Vivian), Mary Hill, Annie Crayton, Tommy Dancer, Nan Edwards, Jerusha Bank (Stacey), Alice Atkinson (Alan), Paul Dancer (Vickey), Anderson Dancer, Sharon Chandler, and Dannon Dancer who she reared in her home; 29 Grandchildren, 63 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren and a special grandson Charles Samples; Special children Robert and Shirley Ellis and Frances Braddock; Daughter-in-law Sarah Dancer, and two brothers James Gillispie (Andra) and Malone Gillespie; three sisters-in-law Janie Outlaw, Annie Dancer, and Mary Dancer; two Aunties Nancy Norris and Maggie Peters. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,and wonderful friends. 

Rosie was preceeded in death by: her parents Ellis and Gussie Outlaw, husband N.F. Dancer, son McCoy Dancer, great grand daughters Tiara Dancer and Makayla Hill, one great great great great greatgrand Carter Richardson, two brothers Jodie Outlaw and Albert Gillispie, one daughter-in-law, Lorraine Dancer, 3 sons-in-law Tom Hill, Albert Crayton, and Eddie Edwards Jr.

Rosie loved people and she met no stranger as she enjoyed hosting and entertaining guest. She will truly be missed but never forgotten.

Pall Bearers: Dannon Dancer, Jerrin Atkinson, Jordan Atkinson, Cory Hill, Jorian Chandler, Rodriquez Chandler. Brad Edwards, Brandon Edwards, Albert Dancer, Rickie Dancer, and Tony Dancer.

Visitation is Monday August 28, 2023 and will be at the Associated Family Funeral Home Chapel 109 Rankin Extended, Tupelo, MS 388001 (behind Baskin Robbins). Family hours from 9:00am until 11:00am, public viewing from 11:00am until 1:00pm. The Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm also Monday August 28, 2023 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses at 410 Monmument Dr, Tupelo, MS 38801.

Internment at Verona Cemetery.
