Oliver Glynn Smith, 76, of Saltillo, Mississippi, passed away on February 13, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center.
Born in Mississippi to the late Oliver E. Smith and Lena Moody Smith, Oliver lived a life defined by service, dedication, and a deep love for family and music. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, an experience that shaped his strong character and steadfast spirit.
Oliver was a former service manager at Frankie Blackmon Chevrolet in Tupelo, where he was known for his strong work ethic, mechanical knowledge, and the respect he showed to customers and coworkers alike.
A devoted Southern Baptist, Oliver’s faith was an important part of his life. He was a gifted musician and singer who found great joy in recording music, playing the guitar, and writing songs. Music was more than a hobby—it was a passion that allowed him to share his heart with others. In his quieter moments, he loved bass fishing, finding peace and contentment on the water.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Angela Smith; his brothers, Bobby Smith, Ricky Smith, and Ronnie Smith; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Anthony Smith; and his brother, Preston Smith.
A memorial service will be held on February 26, 2026, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Associated Family Funeral Home in Tupelo.
Associated Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the Smith family during their time of loss.
