Miriam Joyce Henderson Curtis, 83, of Pontotoc, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice. Born on November 7, 1940, to RJ and Evelyn Haley Henderson, Miriam was born in Mississippi, where she touched the hearts of many with her kindness and warmth.
Miriam was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Tracy Stacy, and son-in-law, Dale, of Pontotoc. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Holly Morgan, Caleb Stacy, and Justin Stacy, as well as four treasured great-grandchildren, Sawyer Morgan, Salem Morgan, Sage Morgan, and Malakai Stacy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Martin Curtis, Sr., her son, Donald Martin Curtis, Jr., and her parents, RJ and Evelyn Henderson.
Miriam had a deep love for animals, especially her cats, Rambo and Vanna, and her dog, Lily, who brought her much joy and companionship.
The Associated Family Funeral Home in Tupelo is honored to serve the Curtis and Stacy families during this difficult time. In accordance with Miriam’s wishes, no public services are planned at this time.
Miriam will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
