Marty Ray Bowden

Mr. Marty Ray Bowden,  64, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at his home in Savannah, TN.  Marty, a self-employed carpenter, was born August 16, 1957 in Hardin County, TN to the late James and Helen Smith Bowden.  He attended Landmark Pentecostal Church in Stantonville, TN.  Mr. Bowden was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and metal detecting.  However, there was nothing as important to Marty as his loving family who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowden was preceded in death by his brothers, Red and Rod Bowden; and by his step-grandson, Trey Richardson.  He is survived by his children, Misti Davison (Jody Smith) of Savannah, TN and Tony Bowden (Nicole) of Molena, GA; along with their mother, Sandra Steele of Morris Chapel; step-children, Tabitha King and BJ King (Audra), both of Shiloh, TN; along with their mother, Sandra Bowden of AR.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Gage Davison of Savannah, TN,  Bailey Davison (Cameron) of Ramer, TN, Hunter Bowden and  Ashlyn Bowden  both of Molena, GA, Haley Richardson of Counce, TN, and Brighton, Rylee, Allissa, Gracie, and Nevaeh King, all of Savannah, TN.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, November 19 at South Shiloh Full Gospel Church in Shiloh, TN with interment in Cromwell South Shiloh Cemetery.  Brother Wathon Wilbanks and Pastor James Newcomb will officiate the service.  Visitation will be held from 10 AM until service time at the church.  Pallbearers will be Cody Bowden, BJ King, Johnny Davis, Topper Davis, Cameron Hockaday, and Gage Davison.
