Ms. Marilyn Davis, age 77, of Tupelo, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025. Born on November 29, 1947, Marilyn was the beloved daughter of Clarence McGee and Ida Sue Copeland.
A devoted member of White Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Marilyn was known for her kind heart and unwavering faith. She served faithfully on the Usher and Hospitality Board and found great joy in singing as a member of the church choir. Her warm spirit and generous nature touched many within her church and community.
Marilyn had a deep love for her family and a passion for cooking, often bringing loved ones together around the table. Her meals were filled with comfort, her laughter was contagious, and her presence brought peace.
She is survived by her loving sisters, Shirley Harris, Carolyn Brown, Lydia Douglas, and Beverly Steward; her cherished Aunt Ollie Scales; and a host of adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her son Frederick Davis, her sisters Ann Alderidge, Annie Copeland, and Sandra Young, and her brother Kirby Davis.
Marilyn’s legacy of love, faith, and family will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A wake will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, beginning at 1:00 P.M., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 P.M., all at White Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Tupelo.
