Lisa Michele Chaney, age 55, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Born on June 30, 1969, in Baltimore, Maryland, Lisa was the cherished daughter of Michael and Nancy Chaney. She brought joy and color to the lives of those around her with her warm spirit, sharp wit, and infectious energy.
Lisa was a proud member of Midway Baptist Church. She had a deep love for music and, during the 1990s, shared her vocal talents as a backup singer in various bands. Her creative spirit also found expression through photography and a passion for beauty—she loved painting her nails, doing her makeup, and embracing the things that made her feel vibrant and alive.
A true people person, Lisa had the rare gift of connecting with anyone she met. She was a loyal fan of true crime shows, especially Dateline, and never missed a chance to cheer on her favorite football teams—the Miami Hurricanes and the Baltimore Ravens.
Lisa is survived by her loving sister, Jennifer Walker; her half-sister, Ryane DePaul; her half-brother, Clinton Chaney; and her stepmother, Belinda Chaney. She leaves behind many dear friends and extended family who will miss her dearly and remember her with love.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Lisa’s life will be held at a later date.
The Chaney family is being compassionately served by Associated Family Funeral Home of Tupelo.
