Jeffery Mitchel Hamby

Jeffery Hamby, age 64, of Ripley, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice.

Jeffery was born on October 23, 1960, in Alabama to the late Mitchel Hamby and Nancy Pugh Hamby. A dedicated landscaper by trade, he found joy and purpose in working with the earth and bringing beauty to the world around him. His love for gardening extended beyond his profession and into his personal life, where he nurtured plants with care and patience. A devoted fan of Alabama sports, Jeffery never missed a chance to cheer on his team with pride.

He is survived by his brother, Greg Hamby, who remembers him fondly for his quiet strength and steadfast nature.

In accordance with his wishes, no public services are planned at this time.
