Janice Pauline Cockrell

Janice Pauline Cockrell, 75, of Pontotoc, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi. Born on October 16, 1949, in Pennsylvania, Janice dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse and brought kindness and compassion to all who knew her.

Janice is survived by her loving sons, Kenneth Cockrell (Krystal Cockrell) and Chris Kenworthy (Jessica Cockrell); her brother, Gary Watson; seven cherished grandchildren; and two beloved great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, who she always held close in her heart.

A woman of simple joys, Janice found happiness in the comforts of home and the beauty of nature. She loved watching the Hallmark Channel and The Food Network, enjoyed trips to the casino, and treasured time by the ocean, where the waves brought her peace and serenity.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held at this time. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Sanctuary Hospice House for their compassionate care.
