Franklin "Frank" Delano Whitaker

Franklin "Frank" Whitaker, 85, died February 16, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.  Frank was born July 15, 1937 in Hamilton, Mississippi to Kirby Lee and Lorena Flippo Whitaker. Frank is survived by his wife, Juanda Mize Whitaker, his son, Dr. Scott Whitaker (Susan) of Oxford, his daughter, Casey Knight of Tupelo, 7 grandchildren, Tyler (Tonya) Whitaker, Savannah Tucker, Alexandra Whitaker, Clayton Knight, Cade Knight, Colton Knight, Mary Mize Knight and 4 great grandchildren, Emma, Rivers, Abby, and Tucker.  He is also survived by his sister AvieNell Marshall, his brothers, Rubel Whitaker, Gene Allen Whitaker, and Lonnie Whitaker.  Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Lavenia Young, his brothers, James Harold Whitaker, Wilburn Whitaker, Wilton Whitaker, Carlton Whitaker and Ralph Whitaker.  Frank was a realtor for many years, a member of Kings Gate Worship Center in Tupelo and a devout family man who loved his children and grandchildren immensely. A celebration of life service will be held February 26, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 1:30 p.m. at Kings Gate Worship Center in Tupelo.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested that a donation be made to either Sanctuary Hospice House or Kings Gate Worship Center. Our family at Associated Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the Whitaker family in their time of need.
