Ernie Wayne Brown, a lifelong resident of Iuka, passed away peacefully at North Mississippi Medical Center hospice in Tupelo on July 22, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on August 2, 1950, to the late William and Gladys Potts Brown, Ernie was known for his kind spirit, craftsmanship, and love for the outdoors.
Ernie's life was marked by his deep passion for hunting and fishing, and he found great joy in cooking fish for family and friends. His talent as an expert cabinet maker and carpenter by trade left a lasting legacy in the homes and hearts of those he worked with.
Ernie is survived by his beloved sisters, Sheree Brown, Deborah Brown, and Pearl Yarber. He was preceded in death by his parents; his cherished wife, Patricia Ann Brown; his sisters, Joyce Simpson, Fern Holland, and Wanda Moxley; and his brother, Buddy Brown.
Though no services are planned at this time, Ernie's memory will be cherished by all who knew him. The Associated Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the Brown family during this difficult time.
