Ms. Elvera Crum Baker, 95, of Tupelo, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at Tupelo Health and Rehab on December 28, 2024. She was born on May 8, 1929, in Alcorn County, Mississippi, to Wilson and Birdie Crum. A devoted homemaker, Elvera was known for keeping an immaculate house and bringing joy to those around her. She was a Baptist by faith and cherished her time spent with family and friends. Elvera also had a spirited love for bingo and was remembered as a fun and vibrant presence in the lives of many.
Elvera was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lindon F. Baker; her parents, Wilson and Birdie Crum; her brothers, Thurman Hardin, Don Allen, and Alton Crum; her sister, Lavern Reynolds (W.C. Reynolds); and her nephew, Charles Reynolds.
She leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory, including her sisters-in-law, Betty Hardin and Agnes Allen; her nieces and nephews, Chris Allen (Tracy), Donna Kane (Ed), Darla Anderson (David), and Gail Moon (Jeff); as well as a host of great-nieces and great-nephews who will remember her warmth and kindness.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Associated Family Funeral Home in Tupelo from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
