Donald Ray Evans, Sr.

Donald Ray Evans, Sr., 94, passed away on September 22, 2022 at Sanctuary Hospice House.  Donald was born to Grady T. Evans and Birdie Rogers on November 7, 1927.  He worked for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement.  Donald was a veteran serving in World War II, Korea, and the Vietnam Wars. He retired as a Senior Master Sargeant. He leaves to mourn his passing, daughters Rae "Marlene" Evans of Marino Valley, California, Ramona Lynn Evans of Marietta, Georgia, Shelia Laverne Smith and husband David of Goose Creek, South Carolina, Angela Gail Evans-Swinton and husband James of Goose Creek, South Carolina. Son, Donald Ray Evans, Jr. and wife Velvelyn of Marino Valley, California and special friend Minnie L. Evans-Taylor of Marino Valley, California. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Phillip Daniel Evans. The family has requested that a private memorial service be held at a later date.  Our family at Associated Family Funeral and Cremation Care are very grateful to have been chosen to serve the Evans family.
