Cynthia Louise Birmingham was born on January 29, 1952 to Marvin and Myrtle Birmingham, who both proceed her in resting. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Sophis Birmingham and son Scotty Birmingham both of Tupelo, six grandchildren, Veronica Edwards, Elijah Birmingham, Cohiesha Weatherspoon, Tanner Fahnstock, Brandon Brotherton, and Aliyah Birmingham, four great-grandchildren, McKenzie Grace Edwards, Zyan Goree, Zane Weatherspoon, and Zaydan Morris. Cynthia also leaves behind three sisters, Peggy Birmingham, Helen Buchanan (Johnny Ray), and Elizabeth Watkins, her aunt Robbie Schumpert, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, along with her God-sent sisters in Christ Gloria Holland, Mozella Payton, Lizzy McCoy and Sharon Scott.
Cynthia was an avid traveler. She would hop on a cruise with no hesitation. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and best friend who also proceeded her in resting, Mary Coleman. Cynthia was also a devoted employee to the Tupelo Public School District and formed many lasting relationships during her many years of employment.
Cynthia brought the life to the party and was a joy to everyone she crossed paths with. She will indeed be sorely missed.
Visitation will be Monday, February 12, 2024 from 11:30 A.M.-1:00 P.M. and the homegoing service will begin on the same day at 1:00 P.M. Visitation and service will be held at First New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Plantersville, MS. Associated Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the Birmingham family in their time of need.
