Carol Clifford Obituary

Carol Ann Clifford passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, at the age of 82 in Belden, MS. Born on June 12, 1943, Carol spent her formative years attending Hancock High School in Lemay, MO.

Carol was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, cherished for her warm and nurturing nature. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Sam Clifford; her children, Chris and his wife Trish, Maureen and her husband John, and Paul. She was a proud grandmother to Jordan, Loretta, Caroline, and Sam. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Loretta and Paul Stolle, and her grandson Samuel.

Throughout her career, Carol brought creativity and dedication to her roles at The Cake Cottage, Catherine's Clothing, and Hancock Fabrics. Her artistic spirit shone brightly in her personal life as well, where she was a prolific painter and enjoyed needlepoint and various crafts.

A private celebration of Carol's life will be held at a later date in Missouri, where she will be remembered and missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carol's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, honoring her compassionate spirit.
