Carol Ann Pavan Cabral, 82, of Baldwyn, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice in Tupelo.
Born on October 28, 1943, in California, Carol was the daughter of the late George and Clara McLean Pavan. She shared many wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Gilbert Cabral, who preceded her in death.
Carol worked in food services during her career, but those who knew her best would say her life's greatest work was caring for others. She had a true servant's heart and found joy in quietly meeting the needs of those around her. A faithful and active member of West Main Church of Christ, Carol was often found in the church kitchen preparing meals for fellow members or lovingly quilting blankets for every new baby welcomed into the church family. She gave generously of her time and talents without ever seeking recognition. She also treasured the special bond she shared with her niece, Lenora Williams, whom she loved and cherished as a daughter.
She leaves behind her beloved niece, Lenora Williams (Kerry) of Baldwyn; her grandchildren, Reann Wear (Joshua) of Florence, Alabama, Reagan Chrisco (Count) of Dallas, Texas, and Seth Williams (Sunni) of Citrus Heights, California; her great-grandchildren, Joshua Wear, Lenora Wear, Jett Williams, Ruth Carol Wear, and Baby Williams, who is expected to arrive in September. She is also survived by her sister, Donna Guzman (Clayton) of Lathrop, California and other beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Richard, Dianna, Leroy, Bonnie, and Bobby.
A memorial service celebrating Carol's life will be held at West Main Church of Christ on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the service hour.
Carol's kindness, faithful service, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family and church will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
