Obituary

Brenda Kay Green, 61, of Selmer, Tennessee, passed away at her home on May 9, 2023. She was born to the late Arnold T. Knight, Sr. and Joyce Knight on September 20, 1961. Brenda Kay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. 

Brenda Kay married Earl Green on July 30, 1983, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and cherished memories. They were devoted to each other for 39 wonderful years. Brenda was a proud mother to her two children, Dartangna Green and Priscilla (Timmy) Walls, and adored her grandchildren Dartangna Walker and Javier Walls. She cherished spending time with her family, and always put them first.

Brenda Kay was preceded in death by her brother Arnold T. Knight, Jr. She was a beloved sister to her siblings, Cynthia (Luis) Rodriguez, Aundrea (Lee) Oakley, and Stacey Knight. Brenda Kay’s love for her family was evident in everything she did, and she took great joy in spending time with her loved ones. Her legacy of hard work, a kind heart, and a no nonsense attitude will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Visitation will be held in Brenda Kay’s honor on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Forrest Hill Church of Christ in Selmer, TN (145 Old No 5 Selmer, TN).  Associated Family Funeral Home in Tupelo, MS is honored to serve the Green family in their time of need.
