John Clifford Samples, Jr.

John Clifford Samples, Jr., 55, of Blue Springs, Mississippi, passed away on March 23, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany. He was born in Lee County on July 23, 1968, to John Samples, Sr. and Agnes Hertel Samples.

He is survived by his loving mother, his daughters, Kayla Clark (Sam), Chelcy Samples, and Lindsey Samples, and his son, John Dalton Samples. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Brad Samples (Kelly), three grandchildren, and a special friend, Terrie Brown. John is also remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews, along with many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Samples Sr., his brother, Bobby Joe Tackett, his niece, Nora Lee Samples, and his in-laws, Dalton and Ann Stegall. He was also preceded by his faithful companion, his dog Sadie.

John was a dedicated member of Camp Creek Baptist Church. He found great joy in working with game roosters, racing race cars, and hunting, passions that brought him closer to nature and to the ones he loved.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, starting at 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. The funeral service will commence at 2:00 P.M. at Beech Springs Baptist Church in Blue Springs, MS, with burial following at Camp Creek Cemetery in Blue Springs.
