James "Jim" Wilson Obituary

James "Jim" Wilson, 74, of Tupelo, passed away on March 15, 2024. Born on August 24, 1949, in Tupelo, he was the beloved son of Orville Wilson and Rebecca Petty Wilson.

Jim was a proud graduate of Tupelo High School. Jim worked at his family's business, Wilson's Upholstery, for over 50 years, where he displayed craftsmanship and dedication throughout his career.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Melanie Crownover and Angie Wilson, his cherished brothers, Randy Wilson and Bobby Wilson, as well as his four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will continue through his family.

Jim was a man of many passions. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including fishing, hunting for arrowheads, and exploring new places through travel. His infectious laughter often accompanied his signature dad jokes, bringing laughter to those around him. However, his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his beloved family.

A time of visitation to celebrate Jim's life will be held at the Associated Family Funeral Home in Tupelo on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by a memorial service starting at 4:30 PM. Associated Family Funeral Home is honored to support and assist the Wilson family during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Jim.

In remembrance of Jim's vibrant spirit and the lasting impact he made on those around him, let us cherish the memories shared and hold dear the love he gave to each of us. May he rest in eternal peace.
